This includes:
Compatibility depends on the project.
Read the documentation for your resource before installation.
Map changes should fit the surrounding GTA V world.
Layouts should preserve roads, traffic, AI behavior, access routes, and normal gameplay where possible.
Prop count, placement, and project scope stay controlled.
Server operators should still test each map against their complete resource stack.
Projects use structures intended to keep installation, updates, testing, and removal clear.
Keep each SantosMods.dev resource inside its own resource folder.
Avoid mixing project files with unrelated maps.
A map is more than a collection of props.
Placement, compatibility, traffic flow, AI paths, resource structure, and maintenance all matter.
SantosCAD is the SantosMods.dev FiveM and GTA V developer reference library.
Use SantosCAD when you need information about:
SantosCAD combines model and hash search with developer reference material.
Reference data includes information credited to FiveM Docs and GTAHash.
Check the project page before adding a release to your server.
Confirm:
Back up your current resources before replacing map files.
Test changes on a development server before production deployment.
Two resources editing the same location might conflict.
Common signs include:
Disable one conflicting map at a time during testing.
Restart the server after changing map resources.
Do not diagnose map conflicts from a live production server unless no development environment exists.
When updating a SantosMods.dev resource:
Do not copy a new release over an old resource folder without checking for removed files.
Old files left behind often create conflicts.
